Did you know that all shawls are not just worn over the shoulders but also used as a wrap for your head ?

Shawl and pashmina name comes from KASHMIR but originates from Iran. A man named Sayeed Ali Hamadani came to Ladakh, homeland of Pashmina goats and he found their wool to he extremely soft . he took some of this wool and made socks which he gave to the king as a gift. Afterwards Hamadani convinced the king that they should open a shawl industry in Kashmir using wool. Hence the reason we have shawls today is thanks to Hamadani.

The most expensive shawls, called SHAHTOOSH are mde from under-fleece of Tibetan antelope.
